SwitchBot Lock Ultra Vision Pro Combo

Could've done with a grub screw as the one I removed from the original lock cylinder was worn and had to be drilled out. Got it sorted in the end though. Is life changing not having to faff with keys to get in the house now

I mainly use it with Home Assistant. I do not want to replace an ecosystem with a brand-specific "smart home device control" software (it's okay for installing, maybe even for some configuration), therefore HA compability is my priority. The Combo pack devices: Lock Ultra: fast, silent, multiple backup options. Replaced a Nuki Smart Lock 4 Pro. Switchbot Lock ultra is far better than the former lock, more stable connection and status sensors than Nuki Lock with WIFI and/or Matter over Thread. It contains a magnet for detecting opening of door, without additional, separated door sensor, the lock itself checks the position related to the magnet. The lock can be used by Switchbot app, Home Assistant via BT (HA needs BT hardware or BT proxies around the lock!) or even via Matter. For matter, the included "matter-enabled" mini Hub can be used. The lock itself doesn't have WIFI connectivity! It has multiple adapters, deadbolt support, auto-closing (or even auto-opening if you wish) and lot of other useful functions. Vision Pro Keypad: great, easy to use bluetooth device which directly controls the lock. Can handle 100 codes (for all types of codes, not per code types) , 100 fingerprints, 100 faces and even palm veins. Recognition is quite accurate, even sometimes stuck in the identifying process especially with auto-sense turned on. Sensitivity could be configured. It works with Home Assistant but in a very simple way. Can be used as a doorbell in addtiion to some status sensors. Unfortunately identifying users (names of saved fingerprints/faces/palm veins) is not possible. Mini hub (matter-enabled via WIFI): helps connect the lock via matter (if needed) and also could control multiple IR devices (up to 4 could be shared via Matter). It is also need to reach your lock from remote locations (out of bluetooth coverage) if you use the native app. Potentials they do not have currently: Lock Ultra: handling via Matter is very basic. It implements an older version of Matter. Keypad Vision Pro: it would be good if it would be more integrable to Home Assistant. Currently checking which user opened the lock is not possible, only checking logs via Switchbot app / logs. It would be also good to include Home Assistant between the Vision Pro and the lock, not just controlling the lock directly from the keypad. These are only software features that could be implemented and it would turn it to the best solution (lock, keypad) for the Home Assistant community.

Hello, The product arrived on time, exactly as promised. Packaging was neat and compact. The lock feels very premium and high-quality. The user manual is easy to follow, and I have already installed it on my door. The smart lock's "Auto" calibration was incredibly fast -the app handled everything for me. Both fingerprint and facial recognition work flawlessly in both bright daylight and pitch darkness (three of us use it). The vein recognition feature is highly impressive and makes it incredibly easy for my child to use the lock. We are looking forward to winter (we use a key lock in Latvia) to see how it performs in different weather conditions, but hopefully, everything will work just as perfectly. I can't comment on the battery life just yet, as we haven't been using it long enough. BR Raivis.
