It is a heavy stand, just as you would like from a c-stand. Absolutely great stand.

This is an excellent C Stand - sturdy, easy to configure and great load bearing (20kg for the main stand and 8kg for the extension arm). I primarily bought it as a over-head mic stand but I can use it for lots of applications including lights and diffusers. I'm delighted with my purchase.
