I did long-term research on backpacks. The criteria were to fit all my accessories I need for daily life and keep enough space for my personal stuff when Im traveling for a few days. Also, being in textile industry, outrdoor backpacks for a lont time, I have a very high standards from the product in terms of durability. The conclusion I have from this specific purchase is the value (durability and efficiency) vs cost. Other good brand backpacks I had on the list, the cost were 3 times higher for the value. This one met both criteria. It even tested well. I found myself in the middle of a very strong Florida tropical storm, and all my accessories were not affected by the water. So, it looks to me, this backpack will serve me for a long time.

I just took this Thule Accent backpack on my trip and it is very functional with great capacity without being very thick/deep. Water bottle holder very secure and hard to find in most backpacks these days. This was a great selling point for me. I like the extra dividers inside for computer and tablet or papers. They really keep these organized and protected. Pen holders would be better off in another section as any sweater in the main compartment can tend to pull the pen up (does not happen all the time). the hard protected space is not as protective as it may seem. My N95 cup mask did get smushed a little in there. Not a terrible thing. One thing is that the strap for the luggage pass through is already partly coming off as my pack was very full and the strap and pack have no give so I could barely get the strap through the luggage handle. Perhaps a little more give there or a way to adjust the pass through strap would help.
