Nice set - but build carefully A very nice set. I wish Lego did more examples of genuine space technology (rather than space toys). Some slightly tricky building was involved, but if you are careful......

Great Set and Display Piece I really enjoyed building this set. The final display piece looks great and the size is good for the price. The overall building process was enjoyable and refreshing. My only gripe with this set is that it should have been done in silver. The light grey still looks great but the final display could have been significantly better if the exterior was done in silver instead. I would have liked to have seen more prints instead of stickers but its not a huge deal. Even then, I would highly recommend this set to anyone interested in space or astronomy!

Fantastic Representation of HST Ive been playing with LEGO for over 60 years and I have no doubt that my LEGO experience had a big effect on my becoming an aerospace engineer. The best part of my NASA career was the 18 years I spent working the HST Servicing Missions. So I can say with great confidence this is a fine representation of the telescope. Many details are done very well (and some not), but overall, this is a wonderful set and I am proud to display it along with my other HST memorabilia and other LEGO space sets. However, there is, in my humble opinion, one egregious problem: NASA never sends only one astronaut out the airlock on an EVA, so having only one minifigure is a shame. (And it’s only made worse by not being able to buy the minifigure parts in the Pick a Brick portion of the web site to make a second one.) Nevertheless, I’d highly recommend this set to anyone who has an interest in space expiration and enjoys building with LEGO.Note: I was going to upload a picture of the set with my other LEGO space sets and some other HST memorabilia, but I am not willing to assign the photos to LEGO.
