Needed for gaming and movies I added the Ultra Speakers to complete my home theater setup. I spend a lot of time watching movies and playing Xbox, and I wanted a more immersive experience that surrounded me with sound.Pros:* Creates a much more immersive environment for movies and gaming.* Compact size makes them easy to integrate into a living room.* Wireless connection reduces clutter and simplifies installation.* Seamless integration with the Bose system.* Environmental and directional effects feel more realistic during gameplay.Cons:* They still require access to power outlets.* Proper placement is important to maximize the surround effect.* Their full potential is realized when used within the Bose ecosystem.Overall:These speakers transformed the experience from simply watching and listening to truly feeling involved in the content. For movies and Xbox gaming especially, they make a significant difference.
Good speaker I am happy with it as I wanted a replacement for my soundtouch when that stopped working with WiFi. Im not really fussed about having alexa on it. Disappointed that I wasnt allowed the full discount I was originally offered because my soundtouch functions changed..
Easygoing and powerful I had the Lifestyle Ultra soundbar before getting the 2 speakers, so I was already a fan of Bose products. My hearing is a bit dull on certain frequencies, so a decent speaker is invaluable. The frequencies and voice clarity can be customised to suit your lifestyle. I had an earlier iteration of the Bose cinema speaker system setup for five years, but it had its limitations. Not so for these speakers. PRO’s:They are much larger and more robust than my satellite speakers. That’s important because they don’t get knocked off a shelf if you walk past them. Also, there’s no speaker wire needed to connect them together, it’s all wirelessly connected. Obviously, they need power, but you just plug them in and they join the happy throng in the Bose App which is simplified for use by tech dummies like me. Setup as an individual speaker was seamless. They have the versatility to be used as a standalone speaker or part of a whole house group (which is amazing btw)CON’s:I honestly can’t think of one
Good sound! Needs more connection on app The speakers are amazing set up especially when you have both of them to coordinate with audio systems as cinema set up , and them having Alexa makes it so much easier even if you use it as a solo system! Sleek and slim design .Pros- it has great immersive Spatial Audio when connected to full set up for a more surrounded experience-the speech clarity in the app allows you to hear the songs better and understanding them more - easy set up within the Bose app and Alexa interventions to use to play music just by connecting your account Cons- a lot of WiFi connectivity issues and disconnects from the app often to point I have to keep resetting it - the mic quality can barely pick up when I ask for the Alexa to point I have to shout at it to hear me - the bass level alone isn’t great unless you use the app to put the bass up high to get some feeling of it Over all, this works better with the full set more as audio cinema system than a standard single speaker but still okay if you just want a better speak for clear music and Alexa , but the app settings and connection needs an update
